Sara Woodward, aged 28, from Coseley, has been charged with 19 shop thefts between 18 June and 15 October this year.

She appeared before Walsall Magistrates Court last Thursday and is next due at court next year.

Walsall Local Policing Area (LPA) recently launched Operation Marigold in a bid to tackle shoplifting across the borough.

Neighbourhood officers regularly work alongside businesses to combat theft from shops.

A new problem solving team is also now up and running tackling issues across Walsall LPA.

The issues include shoplifting, anti-social bhaviour and exploring civil intervention orders to prevent further offending and reduce crime in our communities.
