Motorcyclist hospitalised after collision with car in Wednesbury

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car.

West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police were called to Friar Park Road in Wednesbury on Monday evening at around 5.14pm after reports of the collision.

The ambulance crew treated the male motorcyclist at the scene for injuries which were found to be non-life threatening and took him to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital for further checks.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Friar Park Road, Wednesbury at 5.14pm last night (Monday 11th November). 

"One ambulance attended and treated the motorcyclist, a man, who had sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

"He received treatment on scene before being conveyed to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital for further checks."

West Midlands Police have been contacted for a comment.
