Pedestrian left critically injured after being hit by car near Birmingham Airport

A woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being involved in a collision with a car in Marston Green.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called by police to a serious Road Traffic Collision (RTC) involving a car and a pedestrian on Bickenhill Parkway in Marston Green near Birmingham Airport at 6.17pm on Monday.

An ambulance, two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended the scene. 

The woman was given specialist trauma care and then taken under emergency blue lights to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival ambulance staff found a woman in a life-threatening condition. 

"They immediately began administering specialist trauma care, before conveying her under emergency blue light conditions to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
