Police appeal after attempted robbery in Dudley leaves man with cut to his head

An appeal has been launched to ask for help identifying a man police want to speak to.

The appeal has been launched and an image released of a man West Midlands Police said it wants to speak to following an incident in Dudley in October.

The incident saw a man assaulted during an attempted robbery on Birmingham Road, which happened around 10am on October 5 and left the man with a cut to his head.

West Midlands Police said the attacker fled the scene empty-handed and has asked for anyone with any information to get in contact, either through Live Chat on the West Midlands Police website or by calling 101.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We want to speak to this man after another man was assaulted during an attempted robbery in Dudley.

"The victim sustained a cut to his head off Birmingham Road at just before 10am on October 5.

"The attacker fled empty-handed and we're asking for anyone with information to contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote 20/900813/24."
