Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed by a group of men while he was sitting in his car in Birmingham.

Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed by a group of men while he was sitting in his car in Birmingham.

The incident took place shortly after 8pm on Tuesday (29 Oct), on Ford Street, Hockley. The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said they were in the early stages of their  investigation and were appealing for anyone with any information including mobile phone or dashcam footage to please contact them.

They said: "This was a very nasty attack and we are very keen to find the people responsible.

"Extra officers will be in the area today and over the coming days to offer reassurance to the community."
