Raul Jimenez: Messages of support flood in from Wolves fans and fellow professionals
Hundreds of supportive messages have flooded in for Wolves striker Raul Jimenez after he underwent successful surgery for a fractured skull.
The 29-year-old was stretchered off after clashing heads with David Luiz during Wolves' 2-1 win at Arsenal on Sunday night.
The Express & Star asked fans to send their best wishes for the Mexican international and received over 400 replies inside two hours.
Stars such as Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish and Jurgen Klopp have also offered their support to Raul and his family.
The 29-year-old striker issued an update of his own late last night, as he posted on Twitter: "Thanks for your support messages.
"I will be under observation and I hope to return to the pitch soon."
Tom Tracey said: "Best of luck in your recovery Raul, we will miss you. You are already an eternal hero for Wolves fans."
Manny Singh Kang said: "A remarkable player but an even better human off the pitch.
"Your connection with our city [Wolverhampton] and the way you conduct your family life is inspiring for everyone to see.
"All the pack will be praying together for you and to also give Daniela strength. Get well soon Raul."
Rob Cartwright said: "We'll be with you all the way Raul. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
"Si señor, give him the ball and he'll score every time. Molineux awaits your return."
The Lobos Wolves, a collection of artists who are Wolves fans, said: "Raul, you are one of the pack. You'll pull through this lad, you are made of strong stuff.
"And when you return to grace the Golden Palace [Molineux], you will have a reception to remember.
"Something that will shake the very foundations of our home. Something they will hear in Mexico."

The game, which ended 2-1 to Wolves, was stopped for 10 minutes following the clash where Jimenez' received treatment and was taken to a London hospital.
In a statement, Wolves thanked Arsenal medical staff, paramedics, hospital staff and surgeons "who, through their skill and early response, were of such help," a club spokesman said
