Alleged rape victim 'adamant' she said no to sex with ex-JLS star Oritse Williams, court told
An alleged rape victim was "adamant" she did not want to have sex with ex-JLS star Oritse Williams, a police officer has told jurors.
Pc Richard Powell said he was one of the first officers to arrive at Wolverhampton's Ramada Park Hall Hotel after staff reported the allegations.
He recalled being taken to a room on the first floor, where the alleged victim and her friend were allowed to stay while they waited for police.
Giving evidence at Wolverhampton Crown Court today, he said: "I think she asked something along the lines of 'Why would somebody do that to me?'
"She was quite adamant throughout that she did not consent to any of it. She said no."
The case so far:
Prosecutors allege Williams and his tour manager Jamien Nagadhana, both 32, attacked the woman in their room after performing a solo gig at Gorgeous Nightclub and sharing a taxi to the hotel.
Forensic scientist Emma Louise Edwards told the court the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, would have been "mildly intoxicated" at the time of the alleged attack, thought to have occurred after 5am.
She said calculations from a urine sample suggest the woman had 109mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood - the drink-drive limit is 80mg.
Jurors also heard the woman, who claims she did not go to Williams' room and ask to have sex, stopped drinking at 4.50am.
Williams, of Croydon, South London, denies rape and Nagadhana, of Hounslow, West London, denies two counts of sexual assault on December 2, 2016.
The trial continues.
