Wolves supporters whose flag was stolen in Russia get replacement
A father and son whose St George's flag was stolen while watching England at the World Cup are to get a new one in time for tomorrow's game.
James and Tim Corfield were left disappointed when the flag, which featured a Wolves emblem and the words 'Corfs on Tour', was taken at the Volgograd Arena on Monday.
But the Wolves fans have since put in an order with an online firm for an identical flag, which they hope will be delivered to their hotel in Nizhny tomorrow morning.
This will mean they will be able to display it during England's second group game against Panama, which begins at 1pm.
James, aged 27, and from Wollaston, said: "We like taking a flag around with us and were disappointed when the last one was taken.
"We get pictures of it and it's something people may see back home on the television."
The pair are following England in the competition and have tickets for all the games.
They have been spending the past few days in St Petersburg, staying at the four-star Radisson Sonya.
Meals consist of international food with the cost of a two-course dinner for two with drinks around £35.
They will be getting the overnight train tonight from St Petersburg to Nizhny, arriving at 7am in the morning.
James said: "We're enjoying the journey so far."
