New year treat for Arena Theatre visitors
It was out with the old and in with the new for Wolverhampton's Arena Theatre this week.
Cutting back on the chocs and sipping fewer fizzy tipples might usually top the new years' resolutions list but theatre staff decided to dance along a different path this month.
Making sure they pull out all the stops, the city venue celebrated the start of 2018 by lavishly treating its legion of loyal fans.
Lines of royal red wooden seats have been proudly ripped from their places to make way for a new collection of cushy chairs.
Theatre-goers heading to the Wulfrana Street spot will soon be able to kick back and soak up hours of entertainment on the snug additions thanks to generous staff.
Tweeting on Tuesday, staff said: "Going, going, gone! Our January refurbishment is an exciting one: for our New Years' Resolution in 2018, we have decided to ensure that our customers will be sitting an awful lot more comfortably! "Aren't we lovely to you lot?"
