Fall in complaints about New Cross Hospital
The number of complaints by patients about their treatment at Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital has fallen for the third consecutive month.
Last month, just 44 complaints were made to trust bosses, a drop of three per cent on April figures. Of those, 18 were satisfactorily concluded within 30 working days while the remainder took longer.
The month-on-month decrease demonstrated that collaborative working between a specialist team looking into patient experience and the hospital's various departments was having a 'positive impact,' according to a report to the hospital trust.
The main causes for complaints were delays, the general care of patients and lack of information.
