Cavalcade hits streets ahead of Armed Forces Day
It was unusual sight in the city of Wolverhampton but the riders felt right at home as part of a special cavalcade to mark Armed Forces Day.
Dozens of riders from the Royal British Region cruised into the city centre.
Also joining them were past and present members of the armed forces and supporters who lined the streets to welcome them. Wolverhampton Mayor Councillor Elias Mattu was also there to greet them.
The ride out was held ahead of national Armed Forces Day, which takes place tomorrow.
The motorcyclists travelled via Stafford Road, Stafford Street and Lichfield Street to Queen Square where they remained as part of a display along with a tank.
The cavalcade was just one of several events and activities taking place throughout the city ahead of the national day. The day is aimed at enabling people to show their support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community - from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.
On Saturday itself, there will be drumming, rigging, semaphore and drill displays by the Army, Air and Sea Cadets and physical training demonstrations by the Military Preparation College at the Mander Centre.
