Wee dram with whisky film

It's not your usual cinema outing, but those looking to enjoy a wee dram as they watch a film are invited to a city cinema this month.

The Light House in Wolverhampton will offer cinema goers a glass of whisky during the showing of Whisky Galore from May 19-25. With a glass Julie Homfray from the Light House.

The film Whisky Galore is being screened at The Light House, based at Chubb Buildings, Fryer Street, Wolverhampton until May 25.

The film is the new version of the 1949 Ealing comedy and tells the story of a community of Scottish highlanders who join together to outwit the English authorities and retain precious cargo that was washed up on their shores.

It features performances from Eddie Izzard, Gregor Fisher and Tim Piggott-Smith.

A selection of whiskies will be available for those wishing to enjoy a wee dram during, before or after the film.
