Knockout night for Carl Frampton fans in Cannock
Former boxing world champion Carl Frampton made sure more than 200 people had a knockout night of entertainment at an 'evening with' event.
The 'Jackal', as he is known, was the latest pugilist to appear at Bar Sport's Premier Suite Lounge in Cannock, which welcomed footballing great Pele last year.
And Frampton was in good company on Thursday night's 'An Evening With' show.
He was joined by fellow Irishman Steve Collins, himself a former world champion who was famous for his victories over British boxing favourites Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn – both of whom have also previously appeared at Cannock .
While Telford's Richie Woodhall, a former ring king having won world belts middleweight and supermiddleweight, was the interviewer on the night. But Frampton was the main attraction.
When the event was originally pencilled in he was on top of the world being the holder of the WBA super featherweight title, however he subsequently lost that to Leo Santa Cruz.
It was his first professional defeat having beat the Mexican previously and talk of an eagerly anticipated 'trilogy' fight was one of the major topics on the night.
However it is not on the cards at the moment with Frampton saying Santa Cruz was 'not playing ball'.
Another sticking point is that the 30-year-old told fans he was adamant his next fight would be at his home city of Belfast at the national football stadium Windsor Park.
As of yet his opponent is unconfirmed although he added there were a few fighters that he and his team were 'looking at'.
While Collins, now aged 52 and who has not fought in 20 years, said he would still willingly fight legendary American boxer Roy Jones Jr. aged 48.
"I've signed a contract, he hasn't" he added matter of factly.
Fans paid up to £185 to see the pair and have their photos taken.
