H&M in Wolverhampton: Hour-long queues as new fashion store opens in Mander Centre

Everyone loves a bargain - and shoppers in Wolverhampton turned out in forced to take up a 25 per cent discount offer when the new H&M store opened in the city.

More than 100 people flocked to the store in the Mander Centre as it opened its doors, with some shoppers queuing up for more than an hour.

Early shoppers were rewarded with a quarter off all purchases.

Prior to the shop opening, customers were treated to a dance by staff at the store before the ribbon was cut.

Nicole Griffiths, aged 22, from Wolverhampton, had been waiting for over an hour with her 10 week old baby before the store opened.

She said: "This is really good for the area. The closest one is Merry Hill and I go there all the time, so it's saving me that journey."

Asha Janagel, 37, from Wolverhampton, said: "I'm really excited by the store. I used to have to travel to Merry Hill or Birmingham if I wanted H&M."
