Smethwick church back on the market for £425,000

A place of worship is up for sale once again in the heart of Smethwick despite numerous bids to save it.

A religious leader tried to save The Church of God of Prophecy last year after it was first put up for sale.

Richard Umar Azeemi, from House of Praise Ministries, also in Regent Street, is part of a group which has previously launched several bids to save the church.

Back in August 2015, Mr Azeemi insisted that it was vital that the building remained as a place of worship.

Nothing has been done since Mr Azeemi's bid and the church has gone up for sale again.

Located in the town centre and a short walk away from Smethwick Galton Bridge train station, the church has an asking price of £425,000.

The premises comprises of two church buildings, including a first floor balcony with stadium seating, a function room with stores and kitchen.

It is up for sale with First City.
