Former West Brom star Liam Ridgewell 'arrested for drink-driving' in the US

Former West Bromwich Albion star Liam Ridgewell has been arrested in America on suspicion of drink-driving, according to reports in the US.

The defender is said to have been arrested in Portland, Oregon, where he now plays football for the Portland Timbers.

His mugshot appeared on American news sites alongside that of teammate Jake Gleeson.

Ridgewell played 76 times for Albion between 2012 and 2014 and also played for both Aston Villa and Birmingham.

He famously attracted the ire of supporters when pictures emerged showing him wiping his backside with £20 notes.
