The site closed in May with the work due to run until the middle of August.
Work was completed early and the play area reopened yesterday morning.
Councillor Steve Evans, Wolverhampton City Council's cabinet member for city environment, said: "We needed decent weather to lay the surfacing.
"It was at the forefront of our minds to get it reopened as early as possible so that families could enjoy it during the summer holidays.
"I'm delighted that we finished the work ahead of schedule and this superb new facility has opened during the first week of the holidays."
The £150,000 work came from section 106 payments from other developments.
