Motorway drivers faced severe delays this morning after oil was spilled on the road following a crash between a car and a lorry.

The smash between the vehicles occurred just before 10am on the M6 southbound between Junction 7 at Great Barr and Junction 6 at Spaghetti Junction.
This led to one lane being closed and saw queues snarling back traffic to Junction 10 for Walsall.
The carriageway reopened around 11.30am, but Highways England chiefs said the congestion back to Junction 10 continues.
Highways England tweeted: "Contractors have been working to clear oil spill this morning #M6 J7 - J6 southbound. Work done and all lanes open.. Queue from J10 #Walsall"
