Cannock Asda poised to get permission for petrol station
Asda is poised to get planning permission to build a petrol station at its largest supermarket in Cannock.
The retail giant wants to bring a four pump filling facility to its store in Avon Road which would accommodate eight vehicles at once.
The application has been submitted to Cannock Chase District Council and the authority's planning committee is scheduled to determine the scheme on Wednesday, with officers recommending approval of the proposal.
Planning documents state the access junction off Avon Road would not need to be altered but the access road into the store car park would be adjusted to include a dedicated turn into the station off a new mini roundabout.
No statutory consultees have raised objections to the scheme, including Staffordshire County Council highways.
