The group moved in on the land next to the play equipment and tennis courts after gaining access through a fence on the Wimblebury Road.
Mike Edmonds, head of commissioning at Cannock Chase District Council, said "The Council has worked in partnership with Staffordshire Police and as a result the travellers at Heath Hayes Park have been issued with a Section 61 Notice and have to vacate the site before 11am tomorrow."
It comes after a group of travellers set up on land near Rugeley Power Station.
