Bus and car crash in Wolverhampton

[gallery] A collision between a bus and a car in Wolverhampton caused injuries to people in both vehicles.

The incident happened near the Rock Hotel on Old Hill, Tettenhall, at around 8pm on Friday.

Emergency services descended on the scene where the double-decker National Express bus had collided with the side of a blue Volkswagen Polo.

Police attended to close the road for around 45 minutes, while ambulance crews also arrived, although there were only minor injuries to the casualties.

Fire crews from Wolverhampton and Tettenhall were also called out.

Crew commander Robert Ratcliffe at Tettenhall fire station said: "The fire service made the scene safe and closed the road off for approximately 45 minutes.

"There were a couple of minor injuries in the car and on the bus but no-one was taken to hospital."
