Police seal off Wolverhampton home

Police cordoned off the driveway of a home in a quiet residential area of Wolverhampton for more than 12 hours.

The address, on York Avenue, in the Finchfield area of the city, was monitored by police from 9am and throughout the evening yesterday.

But officers refused to provide any further details about their inquiries.

Paramedics were also seen at the address from around 8.30am till 11am.

One police vehicle monitored the cordon until around 6pm, with a further police car arriving shortly after.

Neighbours said they were told by police that a man had collapsed on the driveway.

Resident Paul Jones said police and paramedics were at the scene for several hours.

He said: "Police knocked on my door and said a man had fallen on his face on the driveway. The house was cordoned off for hours."
