The cat flap in the rear door was removed to gain entry to the home in Rodbaston Drive.

Police believe the burglar reached a key to unlock the back door and then gain full access before making an untidy search.

The owners returned to find their house had been broken into and called the police just before 6pm.

They say that the burglary took place on April 19 at some point after 8am.

Anybody with information is being asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101.
