The running extraordinaire, who had hoped to smash the word record for the Land's End to John O'Groast challenge last month until injury curtailed his plans, is aiming to run 400 marathons in a year.

The fitness trainer and window cleaner entered the Guinness Book of World Records in February after completing 240 marathons in 218 days.

The 32-year-old, originally from Shrewsbury, has set himself other challenges, including running 1,000 marathons and travelling over to American to run 50 marathons in 50 states.

To help his quest for 400 marathons, Mark ran a triple marathon on Thursday.

He let fans know of the feat on his Facebook page Run 2 Inspire.

He said: "So I did a triple marathon. Yup 3 marathons in 1 day. Was feeling tired at the end but did it."
