Paul Tomkins murder: Man denies stab death of neighbour

A 34-year-old man has denied murdering a neighbour in Stourbridge on New Year's Day and will stand trial later this year.

Daniel Jones, from Forge Road, Wollaston appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to murdering Paul Tomkins, aged 59, who lived in the same street.

The victim was discovered inside a flat in a two-storey block in Forge Road, Wollaston.

He died from stab injuries.

Jones was remanded in custody until June 6 when he is scheduled to stand trial in a case expected to last seven days.
