Around 1,850 people have signed the petition, set up by angry parent Michaela Garbett, of Roseville, whose daughter is currently in Year 8 at the school.
Parents, staff and pupils continue to urge Dudley Council to rethink the proposals to shut the school, which has 557 pupils.
Mrs Garbett said: "If we get around 150 more signatures and reach 2000 then we will be able to present it to parliament and get our voices heard."
So far parents and pupils have protested outside council meetings and quizzed leaders. A public consultation about the schools future will continue until April 5.
