Statue hopes for Albion legend Laurie Cunningham
A statue of West Bromwich Albion legend Laurie Cunningham could be built in London after a campaign was launched in the area he started his career.
Waltham Forest Council is spearheading to honour Cunningham in the week he would have turned 60.
The area is home to Cunningham's first club Leyton Orient who are backing the campaign along with anti-racism group Kick it Out.

Baggies fans will be able to get involved after a crowd-funding appeal was launched.
Cunningham was one of Albion's greatest players and also among the first black players to play for England. Together with Brendon Batson and Cyrille Regis, he was part of Albion's fabled Three Degrees and helped break down barriers at a time when racism was rife within the game.
He scored 21 goals during a two-year spell at the Hawthorns between 1977 and 1979. He was just 33 when he was killed in a car crash in Madrid in 1989.
The statue is set to cost just over £100,000 and together with its partners the Council is looking to raise up to £50,000. Baggies fans can make a donation at www.walthamforest.gov.uk/laurieslegacy
