The crash happened on Oxford Way, Tipton at around 1.15am this morning.

Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer and the Trusts MERIT Team attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find a car that had hit a tree and suffered substantial damage.

"The occupants of the car, two women believed to be in their late 20's, were both treated at the scene by medics for their injuries including being disorientated.

"Both patients were immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar and were transferred by ambulance to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.

"Considering the damage to the vehicle the patients were fortunate not to have suffered more serious injuries."
