Drills, trimmers, pressure washers, car parts, cutting equipment and other tools are among the items seized from the house on Johnson Road, Short Heath, yesterday.

A man aged 47 was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and bailed

He has now been bailed.

Sgt Matt Cooper said: "The property is estimated to be in the region of £20,000 worth.

"We had some information that a person was handling stolen goods and so carried out the warrant yesterday.

"We think the items come from burglaries across the West Midlands, and were possibly being planned for sale at car boot sales."

The haul is likely to go on display at special viewing days, where victims of crime are invited to come and inspect items to see if they come across items they've had stolen.

A smaller amount of property was recovered in a linked raid in Walsall, today and investigations are ongoing.
