Tyson Fury pops in for a pie at Cannock truckers' stop
What does the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World eat to keep in top shape between fights? A shepherd's pie from a Cannock truckers' stop, of course.
Tyson Fury, the 27-year-old 'Gypsy King' posed for photographs with staff at New Hollies Transport Cafe, also known as Greasy Lils, on Watling Street after tucking into a hearty meal with his father, John, and young son, Prince.
The 6ft 7in brawler is used to turning heads when he walks in a room, however both staff and punters at the truckers' stop had to double-check what they were seeing when Fury walked through the door yesterday.
Fury ended Wladimir Klitschko's reign as the king of the ring last year,
Despite his imposing image and reputation as a controversial figure, waitress Kelly Johnson said the former bare knuckled fighter could not have been nicer.
She said: "I only asked if I could get a picture of him to prove that he had actually came in for some food but he insisted that I join in, so now I have this great photograph as a memory.
"He was really nice and very quiet.
"There were some young lads in who asked if it was really him and John, his dad, told them that it was. I asked some of the girls who were cooking if they thought it was really him, it was quite scary to ask but he couldn't have been nicer.
"A bonus for us is that they must have enjoyed their food, the plates were clean when they left."
It is not the first time that the Hollies Truck stop, which is currently undergoing an extension to its car park and also has plans for a café expansion, has attracted a famous face.
Kelly said: "We had one of the Nolan sisters in here the other week and Chubby Brown has also called in before."
"Tyson Fury is probably the most famous person we have served though."
