WATCH: Benefits Street's White Dee made up to be on Big Brother's Bit on the Side
From Benefits Street to High Green Court - reality TV star Dee Kelly was in Cannock to have her hair and make up done before a TV appearance.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star, best known by her nickname White Dee, visited Soul Care Aesthetics to get ready for a guest spot on the spin-off programme Big Brother's Bit on the Side on Wednesday.
Rachel Morgan, aged 43, director at the High Green Court salon said: "Dee is lovely. She's just a very nice person, very down to earth.
"She loves her hair and make-up. She'd already been three times before and she's already booked in to come back.
"She was in the day before too for a facial and after the treatment went straight down to London for her appearance on Big Brother's Bit on the Side. It looked great on the small screen."
White Dee isn't the first celebrity to visit Soul Care Aesthetics. Jay Gardener, star of Geordie Shore, is also a regular customer.
"Jay is back in February and Dee's ready to start our aesthetic treatments," Rachel said.
"I do a lot of research. In this business there's so much competition, if you're going to do it, you have to be the best. I've got a great team of girls here. That's what attracts the celebrities."
White Dee first shot to fame on Channel 4's controversial documentary series, Benefits Street, filmed in Winson Green, Birmingham.
She was seen as the mother of the street because people turned to her for advice.
The first episode of the series received hundreds of complaints, both to Channel 4 and to Ofcom. The broadcaster was eventually cleared after it was accused of an 'negative and offensive portrayal' of its subjects.
In the years since, Dee has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, Loose Women, This Morning, The Wright Stuff and more.
The mother-of-two intended to become an MP in the Ladywood seat last year, but later refused to stand when she found out she could make more than the £50,000-a-year salary by continuing to make television appearances.
