M6 to remain open as roadworks cancelled
Planned roadworks at one of the region's busiest motorway junctions - due to take place this week - have been cancelled.
Repairs to the carriageway would have involved a southbound closure at Junction 10 of the M6 between 8pm and 6am each night until Saturday.
But bosses at Highways England confirmed today the roadworks have been cancelled.
A spokesman for the body said they could be re-scheduled for a future date.
Other works announced across the region are expected to go ahead as planned.
The eastbound slip road at Junction 3 of the M54, at Cosford, will be closed tonight from 8pm until 6am so work can be carried out on a concrete barrier.
And the M6 will be closed from Junction 13 at Stafford, to Junction 11 at Shareshill, from 10pm on Friday until 8am the following morning.
