RSPCA hunt man after attack on dog in Stourbridge
The RSPCA is hunting for a man suspected of kicking his dog in the stomach and head.
A concerned passerby contacted the animal welfare charity after witnessing an attack in Stourbridge.
They claimed to have seen a man kicking a tan German Shepherd-type dog in the stomach and the head on Lye bypass, opposite the junction to Clinic Drive. The RSPCA has now released a photograph of a man it wants to trace, which was taken by the witness following the incident at around 2.30pm on November 23.
RSPCA inspector Josef Burgess said: "We are appealing to anyone with any information about this incident to come forward and let us know as we are concerned about the safety of the dog. The man was seen kicking his dog, who was on a lead, in the stomach four times and once in the head.
"The person who was seen beating the dog was described as a slim white male, around 5ft 9ins tall, with dark hair and a thin face. He was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up, a black quilted coat, and trainers and he had a small black Adidas bag.
"If you did see the incident, or if you know who the man is, please contact us on 0300 123 8018."
