One arrested after reports of man wielding machete in Wolverhampton street

A man reported to be wielding a machete in a Wolverhampton street was arrested for causing a disturbance.

Police were called to Hordern Road, Whitmore Reans, at 8:20pm last night.

Officers found a 32-year-old man causing a scene, shouting at passers-by and waving around a wooden stick.

No bladed weapon was found and no one was injured.

He was taken into custody for a public order offence and assessed by medics, said police.
