Man dies after being found unconscious on main road
A 22-year-old man has died after being found unconscious on the A451 Ringway in Kidderminster today.
He was discovered between the bus depot Island and Comberton Hill island at just after 5am.
The man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries to his head and abdomen but later died.His next of kin have been informed.
Police said it appeared the man had been hit by a car but that they are also investigating a disturbance outside a nightclub.
Detective Sergeant Laura Wright said: "We are keeping an open mind in relation to this investigation.
"Initial indications are that the man was in a collision with a vehicle but we are also considering that he was involved in an altercation.
"We are currently linking this incident to a disturbance outside the Tribe nightclub on Green Street, Kidderminster, which occurred at around 4.50am and we're keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this.
"The man's next of kin have been informed and we are waiting for formal identification to take place."
