Martin Corden described his wife Rose as a 'kind and generous' woman who would be hugely missed.

The 53-year-old, who was a worker for Staffordshire County Council since 1996, was discovered in a wooded area close to Seven Springs at Milford, on the morning of Friday, November 6. Staffordshire Police said her death was not being treated a suspicious.

Mr Corden said: "Rose's family are utterly devastated by the tragic loss of a beautiful, kind and generous wife and also mother.

"We would now appreciate some privacy at this difficult time."

Mrs Corden, who had three sons, worked as an administrator with the county council's fostering and adoption services.

Philip Atkins, leader of Staffordshire County Council, said today: "Everyone who knew Rose is shocked and saddened at the news and our thoughts are with her family and friends."

Mrs Corden's body was found by a member of the public just before 8.30am.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said that a detailed examination of the scene had been taken place and no further action was being considered by officers over the discovery. Seven Springs is at the northern part of the forest close to the A513.

It is a feature on many trails through the wooded area.

An inquest has been formally opened and adjourned for further investigations to take place.

The hearing on the death will now be resumed at Cannock Coroner's Court on February 4.
