Three sought after man suffers lacerated liver in Birmingham stabbing

A man suffered a lacerated liver and was hospitalised for a week after being stabbed and robbed at a popular Birmigham night-spot.

The 30-year-old was inside the O2 academy when he was approached by three men who ripped a chain from his neck.

The man suffered a stab wound during the incident and subsequently spent a week in hospital with a lacerated liver which required internal stitches.

One of the suspects is described as black, the other two as mixed-race, and all were wearing wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident at around 3am on Sunday, October 11.

DC Luke Bielby from West Midlands Police said: "We are releasing images of the tri-coloured chain, made up of white, yellow and rose gold and are asking anyone with any information to contact me on 101."
