Man admits dangerous driving after crash which saw him cut out of car
A man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving following a two-car crash in Cannock.
Daniel Peel, of Summerhill, Sutton Hill, Telford, crashed at Churchbridge traffic island shortly before 5pm on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old needed to be cut free from the yellow Renault Megane Coupe after the smash with a white Vauxhall Caddy van on the A5.
He appeared at Cannock Magistrates Court yesterday charged with dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without having insurance.
He pleaded guilty to three charges and will appear at Stafford Crown Court at a later date.
Peel suffered leg injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital.
An 18-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Megane and a 27-year-old van driver were not injured.
The crash blocked two of three lanes at the traffic island for more than two hours.
