Cradley Heathens face 'final race'

Supporters were gathering for potentially Cradley Heathens final fixture tonight - as talks continue over the club's future.

The Heathens were racing on the south coast in the second leg of the Knockout Cup Final against Eastbourne tonight.

The club's management team including chairman Nigel Pearson, announced they were stepping down at the end of this season.

Talks have been ongoing featuring a newly formed support's trust to discuss a new team taking the helm.

But the plans have suffered a blow after it emerged talks over creating a new permanent home for the club near Merry Hill have fallen through.
