Boy, 12, has leg broken after being hit by vehicle in Stourbridge
A boy has badly broken his leg after being hit by a vehicle in Stourbridge which then drove off.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the non-stop traffic collision which took place on Monday, October 5 at 7.25pm in Brook Street at the junction of Heath Street.
The 12-year-old boy was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle, which then drove off without stopping.
The child suffered a badly broken left leg following the incident, which required surgery.
PC Natalie Lees from the local police neighbourhood team, said: "Enquiries are ongoing, but I am asking for help in finding the driver of the vehicle, which is described as a small saloon type car, possibly grey or sliver or dark in colour, which would have damage to the nearside windscreen.
"The driver of this vehicle left a young boy with his left leg broken in two places and needing an operation. Someone must know who is responsible for this and I would ask if anyone has information to contact police as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should call police at Dudley on 101 and quote incident number 2133 of 5/10/15.
