Tipton man arrested after Wolverhampton worker attacked with blade in violent robbery at Costcutter

A 37-year-old man from Tipton has been arrested after a shop worker was left with cuts to his head and face when a masked raider armed with a blade attacked him during a robbery.

The victim, 21 and from Wolverhampton, was taken to Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital after the attack at Costcutter in Wombourne, which saw the robber make off with £3,000 from the till.

The injuries suffered by the victim in the raid at the Common Road store at around 10.10pm on Sunday, September 20, were not life threatening.
