Police want to speak to taxi driver after body found in Stourport
Police investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Stourport are appealing for a taxi driver who made a drop off in the area just over an hour before he was discovered to contact them.
The body of Matthew Cullum was found at 4am on Saturday, August 29 on Hillary Road.
Paramedics attended but Mr Cullum, who worked as a data control operative in the Kidderminster area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 22-year-old man from Kidderminster has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with this incident. He has been bailed until the beginning of November while investigations continue.
Sergeant Lee Baker said: "We continue to investigate Mr Cullum's death and are following several lines of enquiry. We would urgently like to speak to a taxi driver who we believe dropped a woman off at the Wilden Lane end of Hilary Road at around 2.50am on Saturday 29th August 2015.
"The taxi driver is described as being a man with a South-East Asian appearance driving a silver London style taxi.
"The passenger was in her teens and was picked up from Green Street, Kidderminster, close to Anatoli Pizza. During the journey, she may have been speaking on her mobile phone and the fare for the journey was £8.05.
"The passenger says that after dropping her off it is possible that the taxi drove a short way up Hillary Road before turning around and returning to Wilden Lane. We believe that this driver may have seen something that could help with our enquiries."
