The cycling club, which was formed in 1962, has been an integral part of the Ashmore Park community ever since, training youngsters to glide on two wheels, some of whom have gone on to represent the country.

The Wednesfield Aces are looking to recruit two new coaches.

It is also looking to purchase racing shirts for youth riders and four bikes for people unable to gain access to them. CEO Paul Bodley said: "This project will increase our membership and continue the Olympic legacy."

The club is credited by Sport England and offers cycling opportunities for people aged from five to 65.
