Oasis Soup Kitchen
For those unable to make ends meet - the Oasis Soup Kitchen in Wolverhampton is a vital lifeline.
It provides people with a two course hot meal on Monday nights from its base at the Christian Life Centre in Blakenhall.
Staffed by volunteers, the group also passes on donated clothes to those underprivileged.
But costing £100 a month a month to run, the group, set up in 2006, depends on funding.
It won £584 in last year's Cash For Your Community scheme, but needs more again this time round to continue.
Volunteer Lorraine McCathy said: "We are not a registered charity, we depend on donations and this type of funding.
"The money will make a huge difference, we will be able to continue to feed more people and support families."
