Give Us A Break
Children whose behaviour rules them out of mainstream activities have been given a place to express themselves thanks to Give Us A Break.
The Wolverhampton voluntary group organises activity sessions for children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties or physical impairments, as well as offering a chance for any youngsters with behaviour issues to relax and enjoy a fun packed activity session.
While the scope of activities that children who are part of Give Us A Break can take part in are limited, the group are looking to find funding to increase the variety in what they can offer up, especially during school holidays.
The help doesn't just extend to young people either, with parents also getting the chance to chat to one another about any concerns they have, safe in the knowledge their child is having the time of their lives.
Group co-ordinator Rachael Pearce said: "It is a challenging role being a parent, which is made even more difficult when the child has special needs.
"We try to make the school holidays and finding things to do that are appropriate for their children a little bit easier."
