The Cannock Chase District Warrior Explorer Unit is run by a group of passionate volunteers, eager to give up their time to help youngster develop their personal and social skills through exciting activities.

The group consists of 14-17 year olds who push themselves physically in the name of fun and learning.

It needs money to fund future activities, with the cost of equipment increasing all the time.

Scout leader Matt Ryder said: "Our members volunteer large amounts of time to the local community by helping with younger scout sections.

"We want to continue to develop their personal and social skills.

"We need to ensure we have the correct resources, funding for activity equipment and tents is crucial.

"We prefer to sleep under five million stars, not a five star hotel."
