The club, which is located at The Riddings in Nightingale Walk, is looking for money to provide adequate changing facilities.

Bosses say the facilities at the club's base are poor. It leases the ground and in recent years has installed water and electricity to its clubhouse.

But as well as inadequate changing rooms, it has no separate female changing rooms or disabled access.

It also has no social area.

Plans are afoot to build an extension to its building, but money is needed to get it off the ground.

The club describes itself as a small, but growing club which now fields two senior teams, three junior sides and a ladies team.

It also provides qualified coaching to all ages. It is run entirely by volunteers, only finances by membership fees and fundraising events.

As well as providing a platform for playing sport, the club also promotes discipline and teamwork, also encouraging volunteer work.

It has links with three primary schools in the area.

Last year it won £128.79 in the Cash In Your Community competition.
