Motorists escape three-car smash in Wolverhampton

Two motorists escaped unhurt when they were involved in a three-car smash in a Wolverhampton street.

The Peugeot and the Fiesta collided, in Burland Avenue, Tettenhall, resulting in a third vehicle that was parked nearby being struck.

Crew Commander Paul Ratcliffe, of Tettenhall Fire Station, said: "The two male drivers were given precautionary checks by the ambulance crew, but they were unhurt.

"There was some oil that leaked from the cars on the road and we used specialist pads to soak it up."

The crash happened on Tuesday shortly before 7pm.
