You'd think performing on Britain's Got Talent would be enough for most people, but for Carly Birchell and her group of dancing mothers it was only the beginning.

The Sling Swing group – which sees parents dance with their youngsters in slings – has been filming a new video this week in West Park, Wolverhampton, as its members aim to take International Babywearing Week in October by storm. Mrs Birchell, 35, from Penn, a qualified music and singing teacher, began the class after her first son Noah, now three, was born.

She now has 30 franchises around the UK and hopes the phenomenon continues to grow.

Mrs Birchell, who also has four-month-old Toby, said: "It has become so popular. Yes it is a lot of fun, but more importantly serious issues such as post natal depression can be addressed in our groups.

When they appeared on Britain's Got Talent, members got four 'yes' votes in the first round but unfortunately they didn't progress beyond the deliberation round.
