Labour hold on to seat in Sandwell by-election
Labour have held on to a seat in a Sandwell Council by-election which was prompted by the resignation of a councillor due to ill health.

Keith Allcock has been elected to the seat in Newton ward after it was vacated by Tony Underhill. Mr Allcock won the seat with 59 per cent of the vote.
He received 1,152 votes beating Conservative stalwart Tony Ward into second place.
Mr Ward claimed 452 votes with UKIP's Steve Latham in third with 310 and Green party candidate Murray Abbott in fourth. Turnout for the election was just 21.8 per cent.
Mr Underhill had represented the ward covering Great Barr and Hamstead since 2004.
